World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Upgrades to items are an essential part of gearing up your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.
They also offer bonuses and improvements. They can be acquired from the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
When an item is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus, as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Certain upgrade components have cosmetic effects and others provide additional benefits. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools, and most require that the equipment has an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. If a weapon piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, the item can be replaced with another however the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or high-tier salvaging tool for an item.
In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon may be upgraded using an attribute called Calibration that increases certain stats such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier it can be done up to four times.
Once the weapon is at the maximum level of upgrade, it may be reforged with a number of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. Several of these upgrades can be applied at once, and the effects differ based on the quality of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage a weapon can cause.
In general, it's best to increase the damage of your weapon first. Then you can increase your armour defense and finally, the secondary stats required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapon before upgrading other gear. This will increase DPS. This is especially applicable to enchantments, which can be very effective in boosting the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats of certain weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. They can also provide additional effects such as increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as quest rewards.
Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. In most cases, a piece of armor will be upgraded to the next level once an upgrade is applied. The majority of armor types are upgradeable, however some items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades increase the strength or defense of an item by a small amount. However, some upgrade components can offer significant increases to defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an item that is epic.
Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated when wearing armor. These abilities can be beneficial in combat, such as giving a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades can have effect that are passive and can be useful for example, reducing damage while wearing armor or enhancing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Upgrades to armor may require multiple attempts, based on the type of armor. If a player is looking to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense of 67-77, and so on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To upgrade their armor players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains that are located in the game. Each location has a fair with a great power that can upgrade a piece of armor for you.
Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not in any way useless. The fact of the matter is that some armors provide significant increases in poison or curse, fire, or magic damage reduction, making them extremely useful for certain types of builds. There are other ways to improve armor stats besides upgrading armor, such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger trait to decrease the total weight.
Potion
When you put a potion into the brewing stand, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new tier of potion effects, and is able to be repeated for more potencies.
The potions also get the ability to select a custom color that can be chosen by the player via /give. The color affects the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the effects of the particles in the potions.
The water bottle, mundane potions that are thick and awkward now have a brand new brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory, potion healing and potion weakness are now available. There are lingering potions available that can be prepared using dragon breath or splash potions and a strong potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue (duration 4 hours). Bug Tracker is the place to report issues relating to this patch.
Trinket
A trinket could be an inexpensive, small ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a ring or necklace. It could also be a small banner that marks the lateen yard of a boat. It could also refer to a trinket that is gilded on the mast of a vessel.
This bizarre trinket seems to be influencing denizens in this maze by making them more prevalent. At present it makes all kinds of mimic Xx more common and gives every floor the chance of having an ebony-colored mimic. This trinket is priced at a moderate amount of energy to upgrade.
The magic of the enchanted scepter is believed to be affecting the dungeon itself which makes it more likely to create water and grass. This trinket, at its current level, will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It does not affect enchantments, glyphs, cursed weapons or armor or items that are generated to help solve danger rooms.
The item, which appears like a newt's eyes appears to alter your vision in a manner that goes beyond simply decreasing your field of view. boosting items , in its current level, increases the health gained by drinking healing potions and wells of life by X%, and also gives mind sight to enemies within Y tile. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you've completed the Mastery Cave. You can find them by defeating Monsters and chests and crates. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket in the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will have an effect on the trinket that is random and will either increase or strengthen its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as many times as you want, but it will always be able to produce a new effect.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, however it will increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
